Richard Holmes brings over three decades of professional experience across transport, logistics, commercial vehicle enforcement, and public service. Beginning his career in the British Armed Forces as a Driver within HM Forces, Richard developed a strong foundation in military logistics and disciplined work practices.
He went on to build an extensive career in commercial and public‑sector roles, including nine years as an HGV Driver and Supervisor for the Eastern Electricity Board and five years as a Prison Custody Officer with Serco. Richard later spent 13 years with the Metropolitan Police, serving in the Commercial Vehicle Unit as an Advanced Vehicle Examiner, where he delivered specialist toolbox talks and engaged closely with industry to improve road safety and compliance.
Following his police service, Richard returned to the transport sector, taking on roles as a fuel tanker driver, truck driver, and more recently as a freelance Transportation Manager. Across every position, he has been recognised for his strong self‑management, communication skills, conflict resolution abilities, and commitment to operating safely and professionally.
Today, Richard combines his deep operational knowledge with hands‑on experience to support safe, efficient, and compliant transport operations.
