David Cox is an independent Transport Consultant and the founder of DCT Consultancy Ltd, established in November 2023. He also serves as the External Transport Manager for several companies.
A Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), Mr. Cox holds multiple ualifications, including the Transport Manager CPC (International Road Haulage & Passenger Transport), City & Guilds certification in Tachographs and Analysis, JAUPT-approved Driver CPC Trainer status, Lead Auditor certification, and the NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety.
With over three years as an independent consultant, and 14 years with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) as a Traffic Examiner and Counter Fraud Investigations Examiner, he has extensive expertise in Operator Licensing compliance, audits, and accreditation schemes like FORS and Earned Recognition. Recognized by Traffic Commissioners, his audits meet the high standards required by the Office of the Traffic Commissioner, covering both Goods and Passenger Service Vehicle (PSV) operations.
